    Holistic Massage, Aromatherapy & Complementary Therapies Services

    Ri Holistic established in 2020 by myself, Michaela. 

    After first qualifying in VTCT Swedish Massage & Indian Head Massage here in the beautiful St Austell Bay, where I have happily lived my whole life & proudly call home. I offer a wide range of massage therapies & since first qualifying I have continued adding to my portfolio, including VTCT Aromatherapy, Ayurvedic Massage, Manual Lymphatic Drainage, Hopi Ear Candling, Warm Bamboo, Reiki, Pregnancy Massage, Advanced Massage Therapy & others, I also hold a Skincare Product Making Qualification, Holistic Facial Diploma & have a Nutritional Advisor Diploma but with so much to discover personally, learn within & for this industry, I continue growing my knowledge, skills & love for learning through up to date CPD. My current studying is on Ayurveda & Breathwork, this is not only to enhance my knowledge of Ayurveda for my massage practice but is very much part of a personal healing journey for myself. My big passion within my business is making & creating bespoke skincare products, this originated from my own struggles I've had with my skin long before I discovered the world of holistic therapies.   

    Majority of my therapies incorporate Aromatherapy, this form of health & wellbeing dates back to ancient civilization & I am a strong believer through my own personal journey with my mental health that we all need to go back to many 'old ways' or at least learn & incorporate some of these ancient methods into our busy modern day lives.

     I am a Registered VTCT-qualified Aromatherapist, Member of & Insured with the Federation of Holistic Therapists, which is the largest professional association for therapists, ensuring the highest qualification standards. From my love of taking care of others & my background of working in Health & Social Care, 

    person centred care is my top priority.

    Deep Tissue Therapies

    Warm Bamboo Massage

Using a range of firm Swedish massage techniques & warmed bamboo sticks with a bespoke aromatherapy blend, heat from the bamboo's penetrates deeper into the muscular tissues, relieving server tension. Book for medium to firm pressure, full back, neck & shoulders or full body massage. Extra time recommended for full body.

    Warm Poultice Massage

    90min. A pummelling massage using a handmade poultice full of therapeutic herbs (traditionally called 'Pinda Sweda') that are crused in a pestle & mortar, then wrapped into a muslin cloth & tied tight to make the bolus or poultice. Throughout the treatment the poultice is doused in warmed oil with a bespoke aromatherapy blend & applied to the body using pummelling techniques. Great treatment for joints, tension, arthritis & some skin conditions. Full Body including Head & Scalp. Pressure varies.

    Back, Neck, Shoulder & Scalp

    60min. Using a range of all my techniques tailored to you, with a organic carrier oil. Book this treatment for light to medium pressure.

    Indian Head Massage

    60min. Developed by holy men (Rishis), this ancient system of medicine known as Ayurveda concentrates treatment of the head, neck & shoulders & traditionally is a seated treatment, with a organic carrier oil. Pressure varies.

    Mukha Massage

    60min. 'Mukkabhyanga' is an Ayurvedic term for facial massage. This is a deep tissue facial & neck massage using a wide rang of lifting & plumping techniques & incorporating marma point therapy (for energy flow). Book this treatment to naturally help improve skin tone & release tension of the face.

    Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD)

    90min. Gently manipulating specific areas of the body to facilitate the movement of lymphatic fluid into working lymphatic vessels of the body. This treatment is often booked for specific health conditions of the lymphatic system, inflammatory conditions, post-surgical edema & for its powerful detoxification protocols, its a very gentle relaxing treatment. Book 6 weekly treatments in advance & receive an extra FREE 30 minutes.

    Herbal Powder Therapy

Traditionally called Udvartana in Ayurvedic, it is a Ayurvedic detox treatment, using specific therapeutic dried herbs that are vigorously rubbed over the body to help draw out toxins & reduce water retention. The herbs naturally exfoliate, bringing new light & texture to the skin. Good for oily or 'damp' skin types, improves circulation & lymphatic flow. Light to medium pressure.

    Aromatherapy

Using the power of plants with pure organic essential oils & organic carrier oils, a bespoke blend can help your physical & mental wellbeing, enhancing the benefits of massage for your personal needs & health complaints.     Himalayan Salt & Oil Scrub

    60min. Nourish, exfoliate & rejuvenate your beautiful skin with organic carriers oils & fine pink Himalayan salt including a bespoke aromatherapy blend to enhance your physical & mental senses. Good for energizing, dry skin & lymphatic flow.

    Energy Pathway Therapy

Traditionally called Marma Abhyanga in Ayurvedic, massaging the bodies limbs & manipulating the entire bodies Marmas, which are energy pressure points of the body, using warmed oils to encourage energy (prana) flow. Promoting blood flow, elimination of toxins, relives muscular & joint pain. Medium to firm pressure.

    90min. An Aromatherapy & Reiki Chakra clearing therapy handcrafted for balance & renewal. Includes, distilled frankincense water, kansa wand face massage with a deep shoulder, neck scalp massage, guided meditation & reiki healing, resin & stick burning, organic essential oils for each chakra by Inhalation. Finished with a optional foot massage. Hand crafted for realignment, stimulation of the senses & healing the soul. 

    Mind & Soles

Inspired by the Ayurvedic Shirobabhyanga, this treatment works by releasing tension stored at specific marma points of the head & upper body, it is a seated treatment that uses firm & gentle rhythms which relieve stress & muscular issues with warmed organic oils & bespoke aromatherapy blend. Your feet will be immerged into a vintage copper bowl that is filled warm water, fresh & dried ingredients, epsom salts & more to ground your soles to the earth. Medium to firm pressure.

    Ri Holistic Natural Facial

    90min. Creating freshly prepared, bespoke skincare using natural, organic & ethically sourced ingredients suited to your skin type. Enjoy a Gua Sha Facial massage, hands, arms, shoulders, neck & scalp massage. Bespoke cleanser, exfoliator, toner, kaolin clay mask, face serum & fresh slices of cucumber for your eyes, this is more than just a facial. Also available for the back, please ask for further details.

    Bespoke Skincare Consultation

    30min. Are you looking for natural handmade skincare that is bespoke to your skin type? We'll discuss everything about your skin, your trial & errors, what you want to achieve & you'll gain advice about how to make some changes. No obligation to order/purchase anything just a friendly conversation all about you, over a herbal tea. You'll leave with new knowledge & a bespoke aromatherapy pulse point roller ball to enjoy for weeks. Book this with Extra consultation time.

    Gua Sha Facial Massage

This is great audition to any full body massage treatment, its a traditional Eastern & Southern Asian healing technique for the skin, using different gua sha massage tools to heal, tighten & rejuvenate the face & neck. When booking this service twice (making an hour) it includes a shoulders, neck & scalp massage. Leaves your skin beaming with life. Pressure varies.

    Meridian Point Therapy

    30min. This can be incorporated into any body massage treatment & does include essential oils. Specific work on the bodies meridian lines & pressure points does take extra time, focusing on the bodies detox mechanisms...making this a great audition to MLD! You can book this service twice for a whole hour. Pressure varies.
